Trip Cancellation Insurance can protect you from the financial consequences should it not be possible for you to travel. In such a case, tour operators will often demand you pay the full cost of the trip or an equivalent cancellation fee. This is then covered by the Trip Cancellation Insurance, either completely of partially.
Trip Cancellation Insurance insures you up until the date of the trip. Trip Interruption Insurance will insure you further should you need to abandon your holiday.
Cost Example
If you want to insure a total price of € 900.00 (€ 90.00 per room per person, two persons, five nights), a premium of € 45.00 is charged with European travel Insurance (payable by credit card).
In the event of trip cancellation, between € 500.00 and € 900.00 would then be refunded, depending on the product.
