Marnitz Therapy
Marnitz Therapy
This "key zone" massage is a manual therapy based on the Marnitz method. It was developed by Dr. Harry Marnitz as a holistic treatment concept.
"Key zones" refer to the parts of the human body that have a connection to each other through reflex arches (nerves). As a result of these connections, symptoms of an illness or injury can appear at corresponding zones of the body e.g. redness or pain. For patients to experience the strongest possible effects, Marnitz combines deep massage, applied specifically to muscles or ligaments, with manual therapy. With this combination, both a direct and a reflexogenic effect is achieved.
Main indications are: immobilisation and pain with chronic and acute joint problems.
Since the massage is applied only to very specific points and not over broad areas of the body, patients with oedemas can also be treated.
