Wintry Seefeld
The snow creaks and crunches as you walk through the countryside, snow-blanketed peaks and trees that look like they have been sprinkled with icing sugar surround you, breathe in the fresh, clear air – a winter in Seefeld is a winter of pure culture. The regular visitors - skiers, cross-country skiers, winter hikers - have known it for a long time now.
With its approx. 3,000 inhabitants and 8,500 guest beds, Seefeld has become famous with a broad international audience, having twice hosted the cross-country and Nordic combined skiing competitions at the 1964 and 1976 Winter Olympic Games. It was also the venue for the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1985 and welcomes the Nordic Combination World Cup each year.
When it comes to the hotel and gastronomy business, the people of Seefeld, as real Tyroleans, prove to be charming and obliging hosts for visitors coming from all over the world.
